In case I haven’t mentioned it yet – I am a rally driver.
You will of course see the countless articles and documentaries in which Guincho Racing will feature very highly, so I am sure you will know all of the stories about my first outing as a fully fledged Rally driver mixing with the pros all the way to Dakar.
But in case you have let it slip past you, a little video to bring you up to speed.
Guincho Racing came out of the blocks fighting and if finishing means winning (which it does in my book) we won. We drove 7,000kms of rally conditions through Saharn Africa to Dakar and it was epic.
What next?!
First the car needs some minor improvements, head gaskets, rear suspension, brakes, fuel pump system, electrical fault removal
Then we need the next rally.
Rally Breslau in Poland looks fun, accessible and suitable
Portugal?
Spain?
Tunisia?

Gleaming! 🫡
Just outstanding, Tom, in the daring to compete, the preparations, the creativity to find ways to recover from setbacks, the exhilaration of getting to each staging point and the joy of ‘winning’ in Dakar beach. That’s a high beyond most people’s comprehension. Be very proud of yourself – we are! You ARE a rally driver – one who’s on the lookout for the next rally. Improvement is the spur. Challenge is the motivation. Winning again is the Objective. Availability is the constraint. Bonne chance!!
