About Us – 4 Low 4 Adventure

My name is Tom Lloyd Owen and I love being on the road.

Turning forty wasn’t something I thought about much when it happened, but now it’s a long way behind me it means a lot more than I thought. I don’t feel old, I don’t feel like my life is over, I don’t feel like suddenly I have to wear corduroy and above all I don’t feel like I have to stop living – But I definitely know I don’t feel young!

What I do feel is lucky – Lucky to feel like this whole adventure might have just begun and incredibly lucky to have two noisy boisterous and funny boys (Archie and Jack) and one beautiful long-suffering wife (Lexi) to be on the great adventure of life with.

We are from the U.K.

We live in Portugal and used to live in the Middle East (Qatar).

We travel a bit, and where possible try and have those travels in our trusty (and rusty) Land Rover Defender – Ventura.

We try and have adventures where ever we go, even the shops.

This is my version of the adventures we have as a family, where rarely anything is too serious, and mainly having fun and being kind is the core of our life.

Why 4 low 4 adventure?

I think I have wanted to write a blog for a long time, I am a frustrated sharer of my stories and have always written down the adventures I have been on in a sort of diary/ journal form with the idea of sharing them one day with someone, I just have never known who!

Having been in my fair share of scrapes and tumbles over the years mostly I have always come out the other side with a story I enjoy regaling people with at great length. So really this about me indulging myself in sharing my stories for my pleasure, but I hope for a little bit of yours.

I would love it if you felt strongly enough to tell me what you think, good or bad. I’ll just ignore you if its bad.
